Yes, you read that correctly. Sam Reid as The Vampire Lestat will perform at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on June 2nd. A screening of the premiere episode of AMC’s new season of Interview with the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat will screen first. Tickets will be available to fans at no cost but will sell out fast, I’m sure.

I used to have an Instagram fan account for Lestat, and I saw everything as it came out. So I’m out of the loop a bit. But I googled it today and they have released Sam Reid’s/Lestat’s cover of Billy Idol’s Dancing with Myself on Spotify and the official trailer FINALLY.

And now I’m even more excited for June 7th if that’s possible. The trailer is fantastic and I am so looking forward to my favourite book in The Vampire Chronicles coming to life onscreen.

I am OBSESSED with AMC’s Interview with the Vampire (2022-2024) and the upcoming The Vampire Lestat (June 2026)! I’ve been a fan of Anne Rice’s books since I was in high school and part of the reason I’m a writer today is because of those books, and the accessibility of her writing.

Sam Reid’s performance as Lestat in the two seasons of Interview with the Vampire gave me - on screen - the perfect representation of this iconic character. So I am absolutely thrilled that AMC has now created a show based on the book The Vampire Lestat. I have a dedicated page at my website where you can find all sorts of photos from the show, and teasers/trailers/promo offerings from the folks at AMC. Before I left social media, I ran a Lestat fan account on Instagram. So much fun.

Once the show comes out (June 7th), I’ll be posting my reactions and opinions here.
